HP color photo printers are one of the most acclaimed and accredited photo printers. These printers are one of the industry standards for photographic printing. Whether finding a printer for the home or office, there is an HP photo printer that will fulfill almost any requirement of a printer.

HP color photo printers print using the four printing colors—cyan, magenta, yellow, and black—delivering the ink to the paper via inkjet, or by spraying the ink directly to the paper. HP’s inkjet printing provides professional quality photos. The quality of the image is also directly affected by the precision, or resolution of the printer. HP photo printers print up to 4800 x 1200 dpi.

The different HP color photo printers can handle various sizes of papers. Some of the smaller HP printers can handle 5 in. x 7 in. and lower, making these great for quick decent size photos, while some of the larger printers can handle 13 in. x 11 in. size paper and lower. All HP photo printers print each picture to the edge of the paper, eliminating the need to trim down the edges of full size pictures.

While printing is the main highlight of the HP color photo printers, there are several other features that make these printers exceptional. Many of the HP photo printers provide, in addition to professional quality printing, functions such as the ability to fax documents, high resolution scanning, and high quality color copying. Some of the HP printers even maintain a Wi-Fi connection to allow wireless printing from any computer. While each of these are great additions to the HP printers, one of the best features on each of these printers is a multi-card slot that allows for high quality printing directly from a camera’s memory card without the use of a computer. In addition to this memory card slot, many of the printers also provide a high resolution screen to see exactly which picture is being selected for printing.

Finding a HP color photo printer is also a relatively cost effective endeavor. With many of the printers under $100, there are virtually no budgeting issues when choosing a printer. The high quality photo printing, multiple functions in addition to printing, networking capabilities, and low cost of HP color photo printers make these photo printers not only great printers, but well deserving of the rank as one of the best printer lines on the market today.
